A conversation on the Black experience between the host Dr. Keoshia Worthy and guest Judge Monique Walker. In this episode, Judge Walker shares her experiences going to college and working at PWIs and the strategies she used to overcome the challenges she faced in those environments. She encourages taking care of your mental health, getting out of your comfort zone, and creating community to overcome feelings of isolation.

Judge Monique Walker is a Richmond County State Court Judge. She founded her own law firm, Walker Hill and Associates, LLC and for the last 18 years was the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Global Personnel Solutions, Inc. In her early career, Judge Walker was a former Assistant District Attorney for Richmond, Columbia, and Burke Counties. She is the proud mother of two daughters, Carter and McKenzie.  She enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with her children and family, and helping others.
